…or something like it.
More than a challenge, it’s a change of gears.
As I posted on my Twit-er account (I recommend you to “follow” (whatever that means) me on there since I post certain stuff just there), I’m approaching the way I work in the comic in a different way.
What I’m going to do is I’m going to do the pencil work of ALL 26 pages of each issue in one week and then come back the next week and ink, at least, 3 pages a day, hoping to ink 5 pages a day.
The main reason I want to do this is to get one of two things as a result:
1.- Produce more issues faster (since, in theory, I’ll be finishing an entire issue in 3 weeks instead of the 5 weeks it’s taking me right now), and have the printed issues available faster (which, as well, will make me have the TPBs ready sooner). The updates in here, on the other hand, will remain on their Monday to Friday schedule.
2.- Have one “free” week per month to take it easely and do the promotion, some extra artwork for donations (which are very welcome and they help me out to keep producing this book) or get to do any commissions I recieve, work out the files for the printer and so on, instead of trying to do all of that during the weekends (which isn’t as much anyway).
So, I’ll start doing this with Chapter 16. I did pages 1 to 5 the “regular” way of one page a day, so let’s see how this new plan works out for the other 21 pages.
Mario~
You’re either a madman or a genius. Either way, I wish you luck. = )
A lot of the first one and a very little of the second one, heh.
Thank you very much!
Se lee como una declaración de entusiasmo…. estaré atento a ver más trabajo tuyo en menos tiempo.
Mas que eso, es una declaracion de tratar de cambiar la manera de pensar de algunos autores que toman cualquier pretexto para no hacer nada.
3 pages a day? You must be trippin’ me! Then again, 3 pages isn’t that very difficult, depends on the context of the story and how lazy/bothered/distracted I am that day.
Have fun with that!
Hahaha, yeah, I need to get away from the internet more often so I can actually acomplish that.
Wow, that’s insane!! You’re braver than me…
I wish you the best of luck! 😀
Hahaha, more than bravery, is what you said first, I’m just not right in the head.
Thank youv ery much, Adriana!
